Taiwan Foreign Minister to make Official Visit to St. Kitts and Nevis

The Republic of China (Taiwan) Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Timothy Chin-Tien Yang leads a six-member delegation on a three-day Official Visit to St. Kitts and Nevis early next month.

Mr. Yang will be accompanied by Mr. Chin-Mu Wu, Director General, Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs; Ms. Shu-Hui Lee, Section Chief, Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs; Mr. Huan-Wu Shen, First Secretary on Home Assignment, Department of General Affairs and Mr. Ta-Lun Yu, Officer in the Minister’s Office.

During the March 4th to 6th visit, the Taiwan Foreign Minister and his delegation will host a dinner in honour of The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis; pay courtesy calls on His Excellency the Governor General, Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian and the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and lunch with St. Kitts and Nevis Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sam Condor.

The Taiwan delegation will also attend the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the new St. Paul’s Day Care Center, visit the site for the Agro-Tourism Demonstration Farm and tour the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park and will also be guests at a dinner in their honour hosted by Prime Minister Douglas.

The delegation leaves St. Kitts for a three-day Official Visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines before returning to St. Kitts. The Taiwan Fo for a visit to the Agro-Processing Unit before departing the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport for Miami.
