Maybe we our homes become more conflicting during financial struggles. We argue more, etc. But our passion for sex and the need to release that stress still thrives. Hence the rate of prostitution increases. So there may not be a lot of loving, but there sure is a lot of sex still going on.

RE: Sex and the Economy

Here goes - my answer YES and NO
NO: SEX is not in recession, cause more folks are getting STD's (not me fo sure)...cause they are f**king around. Also with the economic recession, more folks are out of jobs, work less hours for less pay and have more time on their hands....Guess what they go do? Smoke weed and screw more....two of the greatest pleasures of life.......

YES: SEX is in recession as a result of the economy. As the Mighty Sparrow one sang "No Money No Luv".....These days a woman (or man) is not like a close-pin..when you squeeze the head, the legs open....:D:D:D. It is like if yu dont funds up NADA fo you.....Why give it away free when you can get paid for it......Oh boy, there is a sexual recession going on.... Well in Vincy (St. Vincent & the Grenadines), vat was added about 2 yrs ago. A friend of mine said she told her lover he has to give her more $$ if he wants sex cause vat is now on the deodorant, perfumes etc.....Guess what.....they are through now....I guess he couldnt afford to pay her an additional 15%. :D:D

Then again...on a serious note, many folks maybe trying the one partner thing......who knows..! Or maybe when they cant pay then they have no choice but to go be with their one true lover.....Did i stray from the subject?

RE: Sex and the Economy

Economic problems can result in stress and depression among adults who are charged with the responsibility of providing for the needs of their family and this in turn can impact on the overall libido of both men and women. However, I tend to agree with the last two posts, economic problems can result in the heightening of sexual activity. I am sure that most persons will agree that sexual engagement is an excellent therapeutic tool - an excellent stress reliever.

Infidelity is as ancient as civilization, so I do not believe that the economic recession will significantly impact infidelity. One only has to peruse the statistics on divorce and the reasons stated for the same to validate this. Chatoyeh, the Kalinago Chief sums it up succinctly; love, commitment and even attraction means very little when the vibe is right, the phallus is hard and the other party is willing. The result, an explosive cocktail brew.

RE: Sex and the Economy

If poor countries are an indication of the relation between sex and the economy, then I guess you are on to something there Montaurok. Poor countries tend to have the highest population.
But seriously, when the vibes right, and the opportunity is there- man the state of the economy is irrelevant. I had a friend who put it in the rawest of terms "a stiff d... and wet P..... knows no restraint.

RE: Sex and the Economy

This is the way I see it, no money should mean more sex. At least, that should be the one thing to keep people calm until the other stuff is figured out.:D

Sex and the Economy

Do you think that there has been a "sexual recession" due to the shift in the economy? Think about it, men are unable to provide financially, arguments are more frequent than before and the pleasure or urge for sex has been non- existent. Is this actually possible? Please tell me your view

Also do you think partners(both men and women) need an escape, so now there is a rise in infedility?:hehe:
