Its so difficult to frame cricket in the caribbean in a single word description or sentence. It was just a sport and it was just a pastime and it was just both. Pack yo basket, pack you cooler, bring yo music - what a day- a One Day!

Yes we there to back West Indies, but that was secondary. Its was by-the-way, the match was an integral part of the days activities.

But Bush change that. Yes, American who disnt partake in the game screwed up we good good game. Security up we wazoo to go see a match- No basket, no cooler, no music

So they took away another integral part of the game- and we watched it dwindle.

I am not sure how the atmosphere game is on the local/ country level - maybe one of the islanders can bring us up to date.

CRICKET: Past Time or True Caribbean Sport?

Has Cricket Become a Past Time Sport? its not as celebrated as it use to be...
