| Truth isnt relative, like wise morality isnt relative either. Neither can it be dictated to us by the so-called academics and intellectuals who believe they possess a monopoly on knowledge and want to attempt to define it for us.

I believe homosexuality is wrong and is stated big and bold in the bible. Each and everyone of us marches to our own beat so don't get offended because i believe homosexuality is wrong.

chatoyeh2 (1/1/2010) There is one law propose by Jesus himself in this time of grace that you so conveniently quoted- the one is "Love your neighbor as you love yourself"! But beyond that this is really not a biblical discussion and the bible isn't the governance by which many people live. What gets me is how easily we blame homosexuality for world circumstance. How do you say homosexuals are worse than an adulterer? The law of loving one's neighbour as one's self means to be kind to your neighbour. Part of being kind to your neighbour is to correct them when you see them doing something wrong. You are right about the Bible not being the governance by which a lot of people live, but unfortunately for those who refuse to live by the governance of the Bible, the consequence is grave. Also, you compare an adulterer with a fag? This is my whole point from my earlier posts in this thread. If something is WRONG, there no make-up anyone can put on it to make it right. An adulterer, a fag, a murderer, a robber, a rapist are all the same. Why should fags get the right to commit their sin?
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. - Joshua 24: 15

I know that this reponse would meet with quite a lot of dissention but I will reply anyway. It appears that the more intellectualized we become then the farther or deeper away we want to push issues of morality. As far as I am concerned truth is not relative. Based on my convictions homosexuality is wrong and people who share similar sentiments should be allowed to voice their positions without being deemed as harbouring homosexual feelings. We live in a society which is characterised by difference and we should be able to co-exist without reigning violence on those who are different, including the homosexuals. Still, legalising and accepting homosexuality and other immoral activites ultimately will lead to societal suicide. Chaotyeh, just how is love defined? Surely, that's a corruption of the word. Preach brother!

| Is adultery illegal? Is fornication illegal? Why isn't all "sin" seen in the same light? Why are homosexual to be dealt with more harshly? And it is such careless interpretation of the bible and the so called words of Jesus (which I may add- non of the prophets Mathew, Mark, Luke, nor John are consistent about) that continues to lead to wars and persecution of people all over the world. Its not because of our difference that we have conflict, its because of our failure to respect those differences.

Montarok- refusing to give homosexuals rights is judging. Most countries recognize common law marriages, isn't that condoning adultery. children are born outside of marriage all the time. People continually have sex without the marriage bond- and they go to Church every Sunday and pray to God like normal. Why shouldn't homosexuals have the same rights as these other sinners without being persecuted. Fagot is a derogatory word right along with the N word. You simple use of the word shows your derision and hate

Why isn't all "sin" seen in the same light?" This is the point I've been trying to make in my posts above. Sin is SIN period. Adultery or fornication may not be illegal as per the law of the land, but so is homosexuality. I haven't seen any group coming out to advocate for the rights of adulterers to commit their sinful acts or for fornicators to fornicate. Herein lies the issue at hand, homos want the "legal rights" to commit their sinful acts and that is unacceptable.

| Montarok, Regardless of your personal beliefs or opinion on the topic, there is absolutely no reason to label or name call. You are entitled to your feelings but remember the bible also states and stresses the need to love one another, so if you feel someone is doing wrong, show love and pray for them instead.

what next (1/4/2010) Montarok- refusing to give homosexuals rights is judging. You simple use of the word shows your derision and hateWith regards to recognizing common law and condoning adultery, if you read through my posts above, you'll see that I don't support them because its a sin. Concerning refusing homos rights equals judging. Why is it wrong to judge? What do you think happens in courts around the world? Come to think of it, you just wrote in your post that - "simple use of the word (Fagot) shows your derision and hate" isn't that an example of you passing a judgement on me? I never knew I was supposed to dress a sinful act nicely so as to be acceptable in to society. Also, to think that you actually compare a homo being called a fagot with a race being addressed with the "N" word. WOW the world is in more trouble than I thought.

| He who is without SIN, keep casting stones. Don't just judge Montarok, persecute and condemn them. Thats the christian thing to do.
