| Is there such a thing? Rape is sex without consent, indeed. But is there such a thing as Rape when a woman does it to a man.....a buck.....? Feedback, please.

| Hey Missy, I think under the law rape is presumed to have taken place only after there has been penetration of the vagina. So the traditional view is that a man could not be raped. As far as I am aware penetration cannot occur unless the male organ is engorged...So it would be difficult here to argue that the male was somehow not into it. Still, with all of these modern gadgets, it is possibly for women to penetrate...I am not sure though that it would be legally defined as rape. Plus in this androcentric society we know that men would be laughed at if they were to report that they had been raped by a woman...Nuff heckling on the blocks and we know the male ego can not handle that.

| A man can be rape by a woman. Remember rape is any unwanted sexual contact so if a man is forced into any sexual activity against his will could be consider rape. The thing is female rapists are hardly reported because of society in which men have to maintain a macho reputation. If you look at society, women are hardly convicted of raping a man because its difficult for a prosecutor to convince a jury a man been rape by a woman.

| Strange thing is its said that rape is about power and not about sex. Its about conquering and and having your way. I have heard rape cases (women being raped) and they are very very disturbing to listen to. But how do you think a cased of a man being raped will be recieved? I bet to most it would be funny. Could you imagine the detail? Any woman in this forum- do you think a man would consider you holding him down and have sex with him without his concent "rape"? Any man on this forum, would you complain if a woman "raped" you?

| No, it is not rape, cause they always consent ..........Holding down a man,......that is a. turn on for them...And of course.....come on......if a man really dont want a woman to hold him down then he can easily push her away......And the evidence is there cause he would Rise to the occasion...... I love to "rape" a man.....ooooooo

| Slick, am subject to correction but I still think legally that some form of penetration whether it is anally or otherwise must take place. I do not think that under the British system a woman would be charged with raping a man since penile penetration whether anally, vaginally or of the mouth must have taken place...She would then be charged not with rape but with causing sexual activity without consent...I would love to have some legal clarifications here.

| I think some form of penetration probably have to take place in a male rape case. Because a man would be arouse during being raping, it becomes so technical that most incidents never get to court. Who man want to come out and say he been raped by a woman so not to become the laughing stock you keep your mouth close.

| Sad but true...A man can be raped by a woman but like most of us, we know it would be the laughing stock of the town. Its the same reason that men who are abused by a woman conceals this truth and is very relcutant in coming out. Embarrass by what his peers may say or think. As children, men were taught not to cry and so they grow up hiding their emotions even when they can be devastating to their well being.
