| To my knowledge no one is forced to become a priest. It is a personal choice and with that choice come certain responsibilities and values to adhere to. The priest was fully aware of the consequences of his action, as it is wisely said “don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.” The action taken against the priest was not harsh; the onus is now on the priest to reevaluate his decision of taking the vow of celibacy. No one is perfect so we all have to try otherwise we will never know what our calling is. Charles Lindbergh said that success is not measured by what a man accomplishes, but by the opposition he has encountered and the courage with which he has maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds. Therefore it is not the end of the road for the priest only the beginning.
